To whom it may concern,
A few questions have arose in my mind about the topic voting. First of which, why is the voting age 18? I know that the age was lowered to 18 durring the War, although I am not quite sure why this (18) was the age chosen.
Second, why is voting “done” the way it is? I think that voting should be completed via computer questionaire; in which, the canidates take a 101 question test. To vote for a canidate, voters must take the same test, and which ever canidate whose answer match 51% of the voter’s anwers, will be their vote.
Finally, why cant “Average Joe” become president? I know the limitaions set by the government to ensure a qualified canidate, although, why is that if I ran for office (upon turrning the age, being a leagal citizen, born here) I would be denied the opportunity because I have no political background?
These are just a few questions that i have wondered. Please respond A.S.A.P.
With all due respect,
We Zel
